Questions about the ordering process

1. Which payment methods are available?

You can pay through advance payment, PayPal, direct transaction or through invoice. You can also pay through invoice, direct transfer and by credit card via PayPal. Find more information here.

2. How can I redeem a coupon?

In order to redeem a coupon, click “cart” and enter your coupon number. Only redeem your coupon when you have logged in as a customer. The voucher credit will then be credited to your account. Your current balance will be shown right after you enter the codes. Then you can choose when to redeem the coupon under “payment method”.

3. Will my coupon credit be redeemed automatically?

No. When you have redeemed your coupon code, the coupon balance will be credited to your account. Under “payment method”, you will then be able to choose for which order you want to use the coupon balance. Your coupon will not expire. It will remain on your customer account until you decide to redeem it.

4. Will the coupon balance on my account increase when I redeem more than one coupon code?

Yes. When you enter more coupon codes, the balance will always increase by the respective value. Your actual balance will be presented to you after entering the code. If you want to redeem your whole coupon balance at once, you can only do that in one order. You cannot spread it across multiple orders. If you want to redeem one coupon value per order, we recommend you to redeem the coupon just before the order and then use it immediately.

5. How can I add a free gift to my cart?

From time to time we offer gifts that you can add to your order for free. Simply choose the desired gift while viewing your shopping cart. It will then be added to your order automatically.

6. Can the goods be delivered on a Saturday?

Yes, in order to receive your goods on a Saturday, you need to place your order before 2 PM on a Friday and select "DPD-Express" as your delivery option. Alternatively, you can also give us a call. For delivery on a Saturday, we charge an extra fee.

7. Can I receive the goods by a certain time of day via express shipping?

Yes, if you pay an additional express fee, the goods can be sent to you by a certain time of day. Simply select "DPD-Express" as your delivery option, along with your preferred delivery time. You can also give us a call.

8. Until what time of day can I place an express order for the next day?

Until 2 PM. After that, an express order can only be placed for the day after the next day.

9. The system does not apply my trade ID. What should I do?

In this case, sign in as “small business”. There should not be any problems with identifying your trade ID then.

10. How do I return items I ordered?

Within 14 days after receiving your order, you can use your right of withdrawal by sending a declaration of withdrawal and returning the goods to us. Please keep in mind that the shipping fee is initially paid by the customer. In case you have a complaint, we will only accept a return shipment if it was discussed with us previously. The shipping fee is also paid by the customer in this case; however, if we are responsible for the cause of the complaint, we can and will refund the shipping cost. Of course, this also applies when you use your right of withdrawal.


Questions about your account

1. I would like to log in on the Kabelbinder-Discount website. What are my username and password?

Your username is your email address. You create your password yourself on the first login. After logging in on Kabelbinder-Discount.de you will receive an email with your login data.

2. What should I consider when creating my password?

Most alphanumeric characters are permitted, like A-Z, a-z, 0-9 and several special characters. You cannot use quotation marks, apostrophes, and Arabic, Chinese, Greek, Cyrillic or similar characters. The password length should be at least 5 and at most 13 characters.

3. I forgot my password. What should I do?

Click "Forgot your password?". Now, enter the security code as well as the email address that you used to sign up for your account. Afterwards, you will receive a link, which you can use to create a new password.
If you placed your order as a guest, you do not have a registered user account. In that case, please create a new account. If you are unsure whether you ordered as a guest, please refer to the order confirmation you received from Kabelbinder-Discount.

4. How can I change my password?

To change your Password, click “Change password” under “My Account” Now enter your current and new password.

5. Can there be restrictive issues when receiving the password request?

Yes, sometimes that can happen because of the settings of your web browser (cookies) or the settings of your computer and software (firewall, proxy, anti-virus, spam filter, etc.). Maybe your activation link will not work (anymore), or the email will not reach you at all. Please take that into consideration.

6. I have received an unsolicited password request. What should I do?

Kabelbinder-Discount will never send you a password request. If you receive one, even though you did not request it, please contact our Service Center.

7. Why is the activation link not working even though I received an email?

Problems like this can have different causes. Locally installed security software (Anti-Virus-Program, Firewall, etc.) or protection systems from several webmail providers (internet mailbox) can stop the system from functioning properly. You have to use the same web browser to request the password and open the activation link. The internet connection and the Kabelbinder-Discount store website should not be closed in the meanwhile. If necessary, copy the activation link from your email and paste it to a new window or tab.

8. Can I change my address or add a new address?

Yes, you can change your personal address and other data. Click “My Account”. Under “Address book” you can change your address or add a new one.

9. The security code is not working. What should I do?

If the security code you entered during the registration process shows as false, you should first try re-entering it to exclude any system errors. Alternatively, you can try using a different browser (for example Firefox, Edge, Chrome or Safari)or deleting your browser cache. If you still are not having success with the code after trying these steps, please contact our customer support.

3. Which kind of cable ties should be used for constant exposure to UV-rays?

If you want to use cable ties under constant UV-exposure for 10-12 years, you should use special UV-resistant cable ties. These contain 2% carbon black and are suitable for long-lasting direct UV-exposure as well as in water. Generally, you can also use standard black cable ties for usage under constant UV-exposure, but we recommend that only for a duration of less than 10 years.

4. Which cable ties are suitable to mount election posters with?

For a secure installation you need cable ties for the long sides as well as the upper and bottom edges of the poster.

 
For the long sides, we recommend cable ties in the following sizes:

  • 2,5 x 98 mm
  • 2,5 x 150 mm
  • 3,6 x 100 mm
  • 4,8 x 120 mm
  • 4,8 x 200 mm
  • 6,8 x 150 mm

For the upper and bottom edges, we recommend the following:
  • 4,8 x 500 mm
  • 4,8 x 610 mm
  • 4,8 x 920 mm
  • 5,5 x 650 mm
  • 7,8 x 540 mm
  • 7,8 x 610 mm
  • 7,8 x 750 mm
 

Alternatively, you can connect two cable ties to achieve the desired length.

5. How do I properly mount an election poster using cable ties?

Below you will find step-by-step instructions on how to correctly attach cable ties to hollow section posters:
 

  1. Hold two poster boards together with the image facing outward.
  2. Connect the two poster boards on one long side with the help of three approx. 10 cm long cable ties, which are loosely fastened. Note that one long side must remain open for mounting.
  3. Guide the poster with its inner side at chest height around the desired object, like a lamppost.
  4. Use three around 10 cm long cable ties to secure the long side that is still open.
  5. Pull a long cable tie (over 50 cm long) through both mounting holes at the top, then around the pole and fasten it.
  6. Proceed exactly as you did in the last step with the lower mounting holes.
  7. Tighten any cable ties that are still loose.
  8. Optionally, use a cutting tool to cut off the protruding ends of the cable ties.
  9. Finally, slide the poster to the desired location. It is recommended to place it above head height to avoid potential accidents.

6. Which cable ties should I use in water ?

Generally, nylon cable ties are suitable to use in water. However, if you want to secure objects in water for many years, choosing the right cable tie can ensure optimal longevity and consistent tensile strength:
During the use in water and wet areas it is possible that cable ties are exposed to intense UV rays. In this case, we recommend using UV-resistant ties.
Moreover, salt water can damage nylon cable ties after prolonged exposure. Stainless steel ties 316 SS are resistant to salt water and UV rays at the same time.
Additionally, you can use cable ties made from polypropylene to use on the surface of a body of water, because their low density makes them float. Since they are barely hygroscopic, they absorb almost no water, through which they remain robust and secure in water and wet areas.
