Nitrile is most often used for disposable gloves. However, it can also be found as coating material for reusable work gloves. Nitrile is a very flexible, durable and resistant to chemicals and oil. The thickness of the coating needs to be taken into account when considering nitrile gloves for hazardous work environments. It needs to be adequately thick in order to reliably protect your hands.

Furthermore, the material of the base glove is important as well. We offer cotton, polyester and nylon gloves with nitrile coating. Cotton is especially kind to the skin, breathable and tear-resistant. Artificial fibers like polyester or nylon, on the other hand, have the advantage of being nearly lint-free. Especially in areas with very high standards for hygiene, this could be an important feature.

Latex is also used for work gloves. It can either be obtained naturally (natural latex) or artificially produced using oil. Work gloves with latex coating are suitable for handling wet and dry objects. Most of the time, they have a crinkle finish. Others have a smooth or micro foam coating.

Latex makes work gloves very soft and flexible, but some people are allergic to it. Instead, these people can use gloves with nitrile or PU coating. PU stands for polyurethane and is a chemically produced synthetic material. Its strengths are good isolation, flexibility and lightness. When doing fine-motor tasks, PU gloves are barely noticeable.
